Dead Sea Mud Mask Review

 

 

 

I love beauty products, especially face masks.  I don't know why, maybe I get a kick out of freaking my kids out when I am wearing one or because they feel so good when I'm wearing one! Okay, I love both reasons.

When I first opened up the jar, I was like gross...it's grayish green.  Basically it looked like muck.  But, you know what the infamous they say, "Appearance's can be deceiving".  Well, They were right!  Looking at it in the below picture you might think it would have a weird scent, but to my surprise it did not.  Most face masks are funky colors anyways, so no big deal, right!

 

To prepare for the application, I washed and dried my face.  The I started applying the mask with two finger tips.  It was like drawing with finger paint's making it kind of fun!

 

I took a picture of what the mask looks like before it dries.  It is still that grayish, mucky color while it is wet.

 

I look like the Swamp Thing's wife.  Scary, right?  That's alright, I had fun sneaking around the house looking for victims while wearing the mask!

 

Anyways, the mask turns to a much lighter green color when it is dry.  It takes about  10-15 minutes for it to completely dry. 

 

I have to say, my face felt great underneath the mask.  Once completely dry, I was easily able to remove the mask with warm water.  I didn't even need face wash to get it off.  Just water and light rubbing with my hands until it was all gone.

Red Brick Candle Review

 

How absolutely adorable is the packaging for this candle!  I love candles in general, but this candle is on the level of Yankee Candle.  You know, the super deep scent of a Yankee, not to mention how long they last.  Come to think of it, this is beyond a Yankee.  Seriously...Look at how adorable the packaging is.  Well as you can probably tell I have a thing for adorable packaging.

In order to extend the life of your candles, and enjoy them at their best, we recommend the following:

- To prevent tunneling, you should burn your candles for one hour per inch of container diameter when you first light it. This rule of thumb applies to any jar candle you purchase. For your Red Brick Candle Loft Collection candle, you need to burn the candle for a minimum of 3 hours the first time. If not, the wax will never melt past the first wax pool and therefore, may cause tunneling.

- Candles burn longer as long as the wick is trimmed appropriately to 1/4 inch before burning, and the candle is allowed to burn until the wax pool (melted wax) reaches the edge of the container. For best results, burn your Red Brick Candle for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 4 hours at a time.

- It is best to keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 - 1/8 inch each time you burn a candle to prevent mushrooming from the previous burning.

- A well-made candle will create virtually no smoke when burning properly. However, if the wick becomes too long, or an air current disturbs the flame's teardrop shape, small amounts of unburned carbon particles will escape from the flame as a visible wisp of smoke. Any candle will smoke if the flame is disturbed. To avoid this, always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every use and be sure to place candles away from drafts, vents or air currents.
